Brackley is a small market town in the south-east of Northamptonshire.
Surrounded by beautiful countryside, it has a good hillside position with Banbury 10 miles to the west, Northampton 20 miles to the North and Oxford about the same to the South. Silverstone, with it's famous race track, is only 5 miles away and other towns within easy reach are Milton Keynes, Coventry and Stratford-upon-Avon.
The M1 and M40 motorways are very convenient.
We developed this walking guide due to local people asking us about walking in the areas around Brackley. The guide has 12 walks of 30 minutes to 4 hours and routes to suit all abilities. There is a 'spot the nature' game all the way through it and certificates for this can be downloaded from http://www.globalmapping.uk.com/brackley/brackley_walks.htm...this should keep children (and adults) looking out for nature!
Brackley has got a hotel and a few Bed and Breakfasts. It has a wonderful antique cellar for you to browse around, cafe's. pubs and gift shops...so why not get your walking boots on and come and visit this beauitful part of Northamptonshire?
