Sky View posters

Welcome to SkyView Posters

SkyView aerial Posters

SkyView Posters offer you a fascinating view of your home and neighbourhood. Derived from digital aerial photography, the posters are printed in full colour on sturdy 150gsm paper and are laminated for further protection. Each poster is A1 in size (841mm x 594mm or 33" x 23") The posters are supplied to retailers in clear plastic tubes and distributed by Outstanding UK.

Booksellers should contact Outstanding or telephone 01726 69442 for details on discount and delivery.

Map Dump BinNew POS Dump Bins are now available from Outstanding. A striking design encourages the customer to ask about other titles (which can be supplied at short notice). The headboard at the back allows the poster to be displayed without opening a tube. Although the bin can hold 20 posters at a time its compact design means floor space is kept to a minimum. With an order of 20 or more posters, the bin is supplied FREE of charge. Contact Outstanding or telephone 01726 69442.

Alternatively, bookshops can be supplied with an encapsulated copy to display in the shop (preferably in the window, people will stop and look to identify their house and other landmarks)

One shop alone, Barretts the Stationers, has sold over 1000 posters since last July. In their own words "Incredibly successful! We have a permanent crowd around the window looking for landmarks. I never thought the posters would sell so many."

Henrietta Knight of the Falmouth Bookshop commented on her experiences "Sales of the SkyView Posters in the first few months have been outstanding, both to local customers and to visitors. They are unusual and affordable and we expect this selling trend to continue."

"Please send out A.S.A.P. are in the window and selling well" Sarah- Athena, Plymouth.

Thomas Thorp Bookshop in Guildford took 50 as an initial order which they received on the Monday and by the Friday they were re-ordering. John Thorp perhaps understated the situation when he said "They seem to have sold quite well."

User Feedback
We have had loads of people commenting on the posters, usually with the comment
"..where's my house?" or "I didn't know it looked like that" The posters have been described as "Fascinating", "Beautiful", "Excellent" and "Brilliant" (and OK, one person didn't think anyone would be interested!-but then you can't please everyone!) If you would like to add your comments to the list below, let us know what you think of the posters or if you have a suggestion for a new poster contact Alan Smith now.

Dear Tim
Many thanks. I agree that the posters work better. When I first looked at the book all I saw was page after page of, apparently, fields. The clarity of the posters is much greater and, of course, one doesn't get the page turns nor the crease in the middle of each spread. Magnificent!
Patrick Howat, York (of which I have the Skyview map and it's superb!)

Hi Alan,
Posters have now arrived and am extremely pleased with them, thanks very
much for all of your effort, I look forward to working with you again in
the future.

re:Skyview Posters, after purchasing your excellent Rye poster I am interested in obtaining the Ashford Kent one,is there a local distributor in that area? Thanks and well done on a first class product,
Neil Aldridge

If in the future you have an aerial pic of Goa India(Calangute/Baga,).I would be most grateful if you could inform me, I have seen the photo of Swansea, fantastic, as is the price.
Best wishes... Terry Davies

Hi Alan,
just bought one of your SkyView Posters of Southampton - terrific. I would like to know about creating maps to order. Can I specify a location or area? Would I be able to pre-view the image? How much would it cost? These maps would be for presents - not any GIS or mapping purpose.
Regards
Stuart Cunningham

Hi Allan
Thanks for all your help with this, we have bought a Southampton Aerial poster from Outstanding UK.
Many Thanks
Kathryn

Tim,
For 20+ years, since I saw a B+W mosaic at Aberdeen Technical College, I've been waiting for an affordable aerial shot of Aberdeen.
Thank you for delivering. I bought my copy from the Evening Express (local newspaper) shop in Aberdeen today.
Best wishes
Dave Adams
PS I must also compliment you on the seamlessness of the photograph. It is obviously a series of photographs due to the different shadow angles behind tall buildings, but otherwise it is absolutely seamless to my eye. Congratulations.

I think they will make splendid Xmas presents, and indeed I may be ordering more myself! When I was up inEdinburghrecently, I bought one of your photos (which is where I originally found out about your products), and when I took it in to be framed, the staff in the framing shop had studied at Art College in Edinburgh, and proceeded to spend 15 minutes discussing various buildings they could see on the photo - all great fun, so am sure it is going to be a popular present!

Thanks again, Alasdair Wight

PS Just as an independent view, I think your prices for the aerial photos are outrageously low!
