Global Mapping’s location maps are fit for the Queen literally! We’re sure the Queen knows where all her homes are but for the thousands of visitors trying to find the front door it isn’t always that easy. Global Mapping, in partnership with XYZMapsand Interactive Information, has set up a number of websites utilising our mapping and specialist software written by Interactive. The software allows you to interrogate either the mapping or the underlying database to find particular features. In the case of Property websites you can select a property by various categories, eg price band, location, number of bedrooms etc. The area of interest can be selected on the map simply by a click and drag to draw a box. Historical Imagery goes Interactive!
The Aerial Reconnaissance Archives (TARA) based at Keele University, is an official place of deposit for The National Archives. Currently 5.5 million photographs are held here with more soon to be added. A preliminary website launched in January 2004 couldn't cope with the overwhelming demand and a temporary site replaced it.

Global Mapping have been commissioned to design the new site capable of delivering images efficiently as well as creating new features such as the exhibition area. The site is still in development but the first interactive elements have now gone live helping you to interpret the images and can be viewed by clicking on the link above.

Walking North Wales
This website has been set up encompassing some of our latest developments including a variable scale bar which allows you to view the map at any scale with the appropriate scale bar depicted-particularly useful when planning your walking trip!

D-Day Poster site

This interactive site has been set up at www.skyviewposters.com to help purchasers of the D-Day posters interpret the imagery and understand what is happening. You can zoom around maps of the region showing the location of cemeteries and museums as well as historical facts about the D-Day beaches. You can also interrogate each of the posters simply by running your mouse across the image revealing barrage balloons, minefields, tank traps and USAF thunderbolts flying in formation overGoldBeach. Finally you can click through to our new online store and order the posters through our secure online catalogue.
