	Alan Smith has extensive experience in cartography having started out over 30 years ago with the MOD. He has since worked for Geosurvey, ESR Cartography and Lovell Johns before establishing Global Mapping in January 2001. Jenny Pope formally MD Of Outstanding UK who are one of the leading map and guide distributors in the UK as well as offering a full finishing, printing and mounting service. Tim Rideout and Mark Fairbairn are Directors for The XYZ Digital Map Company having both previously worked with Bartholomews.  XYZ are one of the most progressive cartographic service companies, running ArcView, MapInfo, Maplex, MAPublisher as well as FreeHand and Illustrator.
