SULGRAVE MANOR

Sulgrave Manor is a small manor-house, built by a Lancashireman born at Warton about 1500. This wonderful compact Tudor house is full of wonderful Tudor to Georgian furniture and artefacts, displayed in their natural settings with only the most delicate behind glass. The largest UK collection of George Washington memorabilia demonstrating the British contribution to the origins of the USA with a separate exhibition on George's life and career in the US.

Additional facilities include a buttery at which to refresh yourself with good fare, a shop from which to take away some souvenirs, picnic areas, a pleasant garden to stroll through and the National Garden of the Herb Society.



Normal Opening Times:

Saturdays and Sundays in April through October from noon.

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays in May through October from 2:00 p.m. (August only - from noon.)

Last entry on all days: 4:00 p.m.

For event days see separate entries but usually 11.00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. last entry.

Groups can be booked in at any time throughout the year for visits from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Access to the house may be restricted during pre-booked occasions.
